According to a report by Desert News, BYU will hire Utah Valley’s Mark Pope as their new head basketball coach.
Pope, who has been at UVU for the past four seasons, was an assistant at BYU under Dave Rose from 2011-2015. He is 77-56 during his tenure at UVU, and has increased his win total every season – including a 25-10 campaign this year.
The former NBA player has also been an assistant at Georgia and Wake Forest.
An official announcement is expected by then end of the week.
