REPORT: Miami (OH)’s Steele offered contract extension

Travis Steele, leader of the undefeated 26-0 Miami (OH) Redhawks, has been offered a contract extension according to a report from the Cincinnati Enquirer. Steele, who will undoubtedly be one of the hottest names on the coaching carousel has been offered a deal that would run through the 2033-34 season.

Steele, who led Miami to a 25-9 record last season, is now 78-46 (.629) in his early four seasons at the school. He previously spent four years as the head coach at Xavier (2018-22) where he went 70-50, and holds an overall career mark of 148-96 (.607).

The undefeated Redhawks put their 26-game winning streak on the line tonight when they host Bowling Green.
