According to multiple reports, including one from Matt Norlander, Colorado State’s Niko Medved is set to become the next head coach at Minnesota, with an official announcement and press conference scheduled for Tuesday. A Minneapolis native and Golden Gophers alumnus, Medved is coming off a strong 2024-25 season, leading CSU to the NCAA Tournament, where they upset 5-seed Memphis before a heartbreaking last-second loss to Maryland. Over seven seasons at CSU, he won 143 games and made three NCAA Tournament appearances. Known as a program-builder, Medved previously turned around Furman and Drake before compiling a 222-172 record across 12 seasons as a head coach.
