According to a report from the Memphis Commercial Appeal, Mississippi Valley State intends to hire Mike Davis as their new head basketball coach.
Davis, a coaching veteran, had spent the past two seasons on Penny Hardaway’s staff at Memphis. Prior to that, he served as the head coach at Indiana (2000-06), UAB (2006-12), Texas Southern (2012-18), and Detroit Mercy (2018-24). Davis holds a 412-360 (.534) career record in 24-seasons as a D1 head coach.
