According to multiple reports, including one from Jon Rothstein, UAB associate head coach Ryan Cross is expected to be named as the head basketball coach at Louisiana Monroe.

Cross had been at UAB for the past six seasons and had served as an assistant at ULM for eight years before that. Cross has also had head coaching stints at Chipola Junior College (1999-03) and Barton County Community College (1998-99).
