According to a Matt Norlander report, West Virginia is expected to hire North Texas Head Coach Ross Hodge as their new head coach.

West Virginia AD Wren Baker was the AD at North Texas before taking over at WVA back in 2022.

In his two seasons as the head coach at UNT, Hodge has gone 46-23 (.667), including at 27-8 mark so far this season. His Mean Green have advanced to the NIT semifinals after beating Oklahoma State 61-59 last night.

BREAKING: West Virginia is hiring North Texas coach Ross Hodge on a five-year contract, sources tell CBS Sports. The deal will be officially announced soon. Hodge's UNT team is still playing in the NIT. Hodge has ties to WVU AD Wren Baker, who was at UNT before getting to WVU.
