According to an ESPN report, Wichita State is set to name Paul Mills as their next head men’s basketball coach. Mills has been the head coach at Oral Roberts for the past six seasons (106-84 – .558), leading his team Summit League titles in two out of the past three years.
This season, the Golden Eagles went 30-5 (18-0), before bowing to Duke in the NCAA Tournament last week. In 2020-21, Mills’ led his squad to the Sweet 16, with tourney wins over Ohio State and Florida, before eventually being knocked off by Arkansas.
Mills was a long-time assistant at Baylor before being hired at ORU in 2017. He will replace Isaac Brown, who was released earlier this month after three years on the job.
More on this move once it becomes official.
