According to multiple reports, including one by WBAY in Green Bay, Will Ryan is the choice to replace Linc Darner as the head basketball coach at Wisconsin-Green Bay. Ryan, the son of former Wisconsin head coach Bo Ryan is currently the head coach at D2 Wheeling University.
Last year was the younger Ryan’s first at WU where his squad went 14-13 (11-11 MEC). Before becoming a head coach, Ryan had spent five seasons as an assistant at Ohio, and seven as an assistant at North Dakota State. He played collegiately for his father at Wisconsin-Platteville and later Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
According to the Green Bay Press Gazette, two offers were made to Ryan – four years at $200,000 per season or six years at $175,000 each.
