Jerod Haase, the Anne and Tony Joseph Director of Men’s Basketball, has announced the promotion of Michael Reutt to Director of Operations and Administration. Reutt is in his third year with the Stanford program having spent the first two years as assistant director of operations.

“Michael has grown a lot in his two seasons with our program, and I am looking forward to seeing him shine in an expanded role,” said Haase. “He is very deserving of this opportunity and will continue to make our program better”.

Reutt will oversee team travel, facility coordination and alumni engagement, while continuing to support the staff in a plethora of capacities. He was a four-year manager with the basketball team at Virginia Tech from 2014-18 and continued his career in athletics as an academic coordinator at East Tennessee State from 2018-20, and at the University of Idaho for the 2020-21 academic year.

He has spent three years with TopConnect Leaders, an organization that sets up college coaches and administrators to educate and prepare them for leadership roles. Reutt is on the executive leadership team, holding the role since 2020.

Reutt is working towards his Doctorate in Education from East Tennessee State in Global Sport Leadership.
