Multiple sources are reporting that Rice is acting quickly in their search to replace Mike Rhoades who departed for VCU earlier this week. I have heard that Associate Head Coach Scott Pera has already met with university officials regarding the vacant position. Pera had been on Rhoades staff for the past three seasons, and has also served as an assistant coach at Penn and Arizona State. He is currently the only candidate to be interviewed, and some think that this could get done quickly. More as I hear it.
