Shannon Hodge of Hainesport, NJ is the newest member of the Rider University men’s basketball staff, serving as Director of Player Development.
“We are happy to announce Shannon Hodge to a newly created position on my staff as Director of player development,” said Rider head coach Kevin Baggett.
A 2013 graduate of Temple University, Hodge comes to Rider from the Brooklyn Nets, where she worked as an Inside Sales Account Manager.
A former intern with the Philadelphia 76ers, working in their Live Events and Community Relations department, Hodge founded and serves as the Executive Director for former Rider basketball player Jason Thompson’s “Hooping for Your Dreams” community outreach event.
“I’ve had the opportunity to watch Shannon in a number of different roles she’s had in athletics and also with the job she has done with raising money and awareness with the Jason Thompson foundation,” Baggett said.
Hodge is a graduate of the Life Center Academy in Florence, NJ.
While a student at Temple Hodge worked as a student manager for the men’s basketball team 2007-10 and was the head manager in 2010.
“I’m extremely excited about having her on staff and assisting me on the day to day operations in this new position,” Baggett said.
