Casey Brinn has been named the Director of Basketball Operations at Rider University, Rider men’s basketball coach Kevin Baggett announced.

Brinn comes to Rider from Northwestern University, where he was a graduate assistant with the men’s basketball team.

“I am very excited to have Casey joining our staff,” said Baggett, the 2015 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. “He will be called upon to do many different things for our program in this position.”

At Northwestern, Brinn worked with the director of basketball operations with travel accommodations, scouting report information, recruiting information and video management, among other duties, while overseeing the team managers.

Brinn was also the assistant director of the Chris Collins Basketball Camp at Northwestern. “Casey brings with him a great deal of experience and knowledge coming from Northwestern University under the tutelage of Chris Collins, whom I have known for a long time,” Baggett said.

Early in his career Brinn served as an assistant basketball coach at the University of Southern Maine.

Brinn has also worked on the professional sports level, in the ticket offices of both the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens.

Brinn graduated from Ithaca College in 2008, where he played basketball for two seasons before serving as a student coach as a senior after spending a semester in England. He received his master’s degree in Sports Administration from Northwestern.

Brinn and his wife Eryenne reside in Newtown, PA.
