I can confirm that five coaches have interviewed at Rock Valley College (IL) for the vacant HC position. The candidates are vying to replace Julian Springer who left to become the head coach at Kankankee CC back in August. Interviews took place last week – three of those finalists are:

• Bill Lavery – Former Head Coach at Rockford College (2nd all-time winningest coach in school history). Former head coach of the Rockford Lightning (CBA), former assistant for the Quad City Thunder (CBA).

• Craig Doty – Current assistant coach at University of Sioux Falls. Former interim head coach and at Central Wyoming College, former assistant at Riverland Community College and Morningside College.

• Alan Magnani – Former Head Coach at Iowa Wesleyan where he accumulated 240 victories and is the all-time winningest coach in school history.

There are two others who have interviewed – still working on finding out who they were.

The official announcement is expected sometime this week.
