A few things that I have heard over the past few days….

UNC-Wilmington head Coach Buzz Peterson has one spot left to fill on his staff. Apparently he’s narrowed it down to four guys:

Kevin Norris – Texas A&M – Corpus Christi assistant

Andre Gray – Western Carolina assistant

Walt Corbean – Wake Forest operations

Tony Delk – Kentucky operations

Delk is also rumored to be a candidate fill the assistant spot at Kentucky that opened when Rod Strickland was reassigned.

Speaking of Kentucky, it appears that Illinois assistant Jerrance Howard is no longer a candidate to replace Strickland on Coach Cal’s staff. Apparently he is going to receive a raise on his $180,000 per year contract to remain with the Illini.

Panola JC (TX) is reportedly beginning to interview candidates for the vacant head coach position. Coaches expected to interview this week are:

Matt Cross – Lamar-Port Arthur head coach

Albert Talley – Panola assistant

Kyan Brown – Oral Roberts operations

Charles Harrell – Weber State assistant
