Rutgers fires associate head coach Cox

Rutgers University head men’s basketball coach Eddie Jordan today announced that David Cox has been relieved of his duties as associate head coach.

“David is a good man and a good coach,” said Jordan. “We wish him nothing but the best moving forward.

“We are very busy assessing the program, head to toe, starting with me,” Jordan continued. “This will be an ongoing process as we prepare for Big Ten membership.”

Rutgers concluded its season with 12-21 record, including a 5-13 mark in conference play.
