According to sources, Eddie Jordan has told Rutgers AD Tim Pernetti that he is not interested in becoming the next head coach at his Alma Mater. Many believed that Jordan was the top choice to replace Fred Hill. Pernetti will now focus on five other candidates:

Mike Rice – Head Coach Robert Morris

Fran Dunphy – Head Coach Temple

Al Skinner – Former Head Coach Boston College

Fran Fraschilla – Current ESPN analyst and former head coach at Manhattan, St. John’s and New Mexico

Jim O’Brien – Former Head Coach at Boston College and Ohio State

Dayton Head Coach Brian Gregory’s name has also come up in conversation, but he has said that he is not interested in leaving Dayton at this time.
