Saint Martin’s (WA) adds assistant

Joe Petschl comes to Saint Martin’s University from The University of Montana. Petschl has spent the last 6 seasons under Head Coach Wayne Tinkle; 4 as student manager, 1 as Graduate Assistant, and this past year as Director of Basketball Operations. During his tenure at The University of Montana, they attended 3 NCAA Tournaments and won 3 Big Sky Conference Championships.

Petschl’s duties for the Montana Men’s Basketball program included assisting the Head and Assistant Coaches in day-to-day logistical operations, practices, video review, oversaw camps/clinics, external public relations, team travel, fundraisers, and team meals. Scheduled practice and gym times, weekly schedules, and supervised student managers.

Joe is an Edmonds, WA native and a graduate of Bishop Blanchet High School (Seattle, WA). His Father Joe Petschl Sr. and Mother Lisa Petschl still reside in Edmonds. He also has 4 younger siblings who are all in the Seattle area, Zach, Sam, Greg, and Jeff Petschl. Petschl earned his undergraduate degree in History from The University of Montana and is currently working on his Master’s of Education.
