Salem Community College has named Nyere Miller head men’s basketball coach. Miller brings intercollegiate coaching and playing experience to SCC. Most recently, he served as assistant men’s basketball coach at NCAA Division III Widener University for three years, where his responsibilities included recruiting, player development, student-athlete academic success, scouting reports, and team travel arrangements.
A Gonzaga College High School basketball standout, Miller later played collegiately at Widener University. The two-year captain contributed to his team’s success with three Commonwealth Conference Titles and four appearances in the NCAA Tournament. Miller currently holds the single-season steal record (92) and is second in Widener’s history with 256 career steals.
