A few guys leaving the college level and taking HS jobs…


Cincinnati assistant coach / director of player development Jake Thelen has been named as the head coach at his alma mater Covington Catholic High School (KY). Thelen had been at Cincinnati since 2021, and also served as the DBO at Georgia and as a GA at Indiana. The 2011 CovCath grad went on to play at Bellarmine where he became a D2 All-American.


Lehigh associate head coach Harry Morra is headed to the Perkiomen School (PA) as the head coach of their National Team. Morra had spent nine total seasons on the Mountain Hawks staff, starting as the DBO back in 2011-12. He then went to D3 DeSales for three seasons as an assistant before returning to Lehigh as an assistant in 2015.


Hiram head coach Taylor Roth departed and will become the head coach at McQuaid Jesuit (NY). Roth had been at Hiram for the past four seasons where he went 23-58 (.284). He also worked as an assistant at Rochester, NYU, and at his alma mater Baldwin Wallace.


Babson College assistant Matthew Droney has taken over as the head coach at Dexter Southfield School (MA). Droney had been an assistant at his alma mater since 2019 and was a member of Babson’s 2017 National Championship team. He also worked as an assistant at MIT and Vassar, and co-founded and serves as an assistant coach for The Basketball Tournament (TBT) squad We Are D3.
