Saturday Dirt II…starting out to be a very busy weekend! Here are a few more things that I’ve heard…
• THE CITADEL – Been talking about this one for a while. I’ve said from day 1 that VMI head coach Duggar Baucom is the #1 target here. It now sounds like he is the choice and could be introduced as early as Monday.
• TENNESSEE – I can confirm that Butler head coach Chris Holtmann has already had preliminary contact with Tennessee. Holtmann was appointed interim head coach at Butler on October 2, 2014. He was named head coach at Butler on Jan. 2, 2015. He also spent three seasons as the head coach at Gardner-Webb before joining the Butler staff in 2013.
• SAN FRANCISCO – I can confirm that USF assistant coach David Rebibo has departed to become the head coach at Harvard-Westlake School (CA). Rebibo had been on Rex Waletrs’ staff for the past two seasons and was previously the head coach at El Camino (CA) HS.
