Scheuers resigns at Earlham; Hutchinson named Interim Head Basketball Coach

Joe Scheuers has resigned as the head men’s basketball coach at Earlham College. He has been replaced on an interim basis by Director of Athletics Adam Hutchinson.

Scheuers had been the Quakers head coach since 2019, and put together a 31-79 (.282) record during his tenure.

Hutchinson brings 20 seasons of head coaching experience to the program. The veteran head coach has 200 career wins, with stops at Stevens (1999-01), Case Western (2001-03), Washington and Lee (2003-17), and Kean (2018-20). He took over as the AD at Earlham back in 2021.

The 0-5 Quakers are set to begin conference play on Wednesday evening at Transylvania University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
