Former Iowa standout Jess Settles has been named as the interim head coach at Iowa Wesleyan. He replaces Alan Magnani who was fired earlier this week (http://hoopdirt.com/blog/95fbecb7/magnani-fired-at-iowa-wesl…). Settles was the Big Ten Rookie of the Year his freshman season, and scored 1,611 points for the Hawkeyes. He has been an assistant at Southeastern Community College for the past few years. He has also helped out with a local high school team. Settles will coach his first game this Tuesday night.
