Salt Lake Community College has announced the hiring of Todd Phillips as the new Men’s Basketball Coach. Phillips served as interim head coach this past season leading the Bruins to a 21-9 record and a second place finish in the SWAC. Prior to being named the Head Coach, Phillips has been with SLCC for three seasons as the Assistant Coach. Phillips began his coaching career as assistant men’s basketball coach at Westminster College in 2000. Phillips served as the Men’s JV head coach from 2003-2004 where the team had a 13-6 record. In his last season with the program (2007-2008) Phillips helped guide the Griffins to a 20-7 record. The Westminster Griffins also made it to the NAIA National Championship four years in a row.
