I can confirm that Tom Bird has stepped down as the head men’s basketball coach at Maine Fort Kent (USCAA).

Bird has been the head coach and assistant AD at UMFK since 2014. His best stretch came in 2016-17 and 2017-18, where he led his team to back-to-back 23-9 seasons, and two straight trips to the USCAA FInal Four.

Prior to coming to Fort Kent, Bird spent time as the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations at North Dakota State (2013-14), and as the Assistant WBB VIdeo Coordinator at Florida (2012-13).
