Air Force men’s basketball coach Dave Pilipovich announced today that Steve Snell has been promoted to associate head coach. Snell will begin his sixth season with the Falcons this fall, having joined the staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2007-08 season.
A 22-year coaching veteran, Snell spent two seasons as a member of the coaching staff at Louisiana-Monroe before coming to Air Force. He helped the Warhawks to the co-championship of the Sun Belt’s West Division in 2006-07 with an 18-14 record, including a perfect 14-0 mark at home. In addition, Snell has served as an assistant coach at Tulane, Marshall, East Tennessee State, North Carolina-Greensboro, Wingate College and Radford University.
