Earlier tonight, I Tweeted that the job at Mercer was done…we now know who the next head coach will be.

I can confirm multiple reports, including one from Jeff Goodman the UT Martin head coach Ryan Ridder will take over at Mercer.

Ridder led UTM to a 21-11 record this season, and a share of the OVC regular season title. In his three seasons at UTM, he’s gone 48-47 (.505). Ridder also spent four years at Bethune-Cookman (1 non-playing COVID season), where he went 48-45 (.516).

Prior to his time as a D1 head coach, Ridder spent 4 seasons as the head coach at NJCAA D1 Daytona State, where he had a ton of success with a 95-28 over all mark.
