University of New Orleans head men’s basketball coach Mark Slessinger announced the hiring of Kenyon Spears as an assistant coach on Friday.

Spears join the Privateer coaching staff following a season at Brown University. Prior to his stint at the Ivy League school, the native of Nome, Texas spent time at Wagner and Lamar.
