Mississippi State Head Coach Rick Stansbury remains hospitalized in a Tupelo hospital. He under went a battery of tests yesterday, including a spinal tap, CT scan, and MRI – and fortunately they all came back normal. There is still no diagnosis as to what is causing his flu like symptoms and severe migraines.
While Coach Stansbury is hospitalized, Associate Head Coach Robert Kirby will assume the day-to-day operations of the Bulldogs. The 48 year old Kirby is in his 11th season at Mississippi State.
It is unclear at this time if Stansbury will return for Thursdays game at Cincinnati.
