State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners Head Basketball Coach Jeremy Jackson announced the hiring of Bryan Adams as the next assistant men’s basketball coach at SFCC.
Adams brings experience as both a collegiate assistant coach and high school head coach, as well as collegiate playing experience to the position. Adams played college basketball at William Jewell College and Missouri Southern State University.
Most recently, Adams served as an assistant coach at Central Methodist University from June 2022 through July 2025. During his tenure, he managed individual and team skill workouts during both the season and off-season. He developed individual and group academic support programs that boosted team academic performance and overall GPA. Adams also recruited student-athletes to both the varsity and developmental teams. He served as the head coach for the developmental team in the 2022–2023 season and was instrumental in scouting opponents and developing strategic game plans. In addition, he coordinated and executed multiple successful fundraising events.
“Coach Adams has worked with and played for some very good coaches,” said Jackson. “I am very excited to have him. He is a hungry young coach who wants to do well. I think he will bring great energy and knowledge to the program. He will do a lot of skill development on the court with our guys. He will be doing a lot of scouting and recruiting. I am a guy who likes to be in the trenches with my assistant. I think he will be a great fit for our program.”
During his time at Central Methodist University, Adams also served as a resident hall director, overseeing the day-to-day operations, services and activities of the residence halls. He supervised undergraduate staff and developed a team for the implementation of activities and hall programs.
Adams was the head boys basketball coach in the Diamond School District from August 2019 to May 2022. He also served as an assistant baseball coach while teaching high school physical education and middle school health.
From June 2016 through May 2019, Adams taught in the Lamar School District, where he served as an assistant basketball coach and assistant baseball coach.
Adams earned a Bachelor of Science in education from Missouri Southern State University in 2016. He completed a Master of Education with an emphasis in athletic administration from Central Methodist University in 2024.
