East Tennessee State’s Steve Forbes will be named as the next head coach at Wake Forest. He will replace Danny Manning who was fired after six seasons this past weekend.

Forbes has spent the past five seasons at ETSU where he compiled a 130–43 (.751) record. This past season, the Bucs went 30-4 (16-2) and captured the SoCon Championship.

Forbes has also served as the head coach at Northwest Florida from 2011-13, where he went 62–6 (.912). The veteran coach has worked as a high major assistant at Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Wichita State. During Forbes time at Tennessee, Wake AD John Currie was an Associate AD there.
