Geneva College Head Men’s Basketball Coach Jeff Santarsiero announced this week that assistant men’s basketball coach Zack Stitt has been promoted to Associate Head Coach for the men’s basketball program.
Stitt arrived at Geneva as a student-athlete on the men’s basketball team in 2012, and he played four seasons for the Golden Tornadoes, two years as a team captain. After graduation, he spent a year coaching at Riverview High School in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, before returning to the program in June of 2017 as an assistant coach.
Over the past five years, Stitt has become an integral part of the men’s basketball program, and within the past year he has also taken on roles as the assistant women’s basketball coach while also assuming responsibilities with the athletic department of overseeing gameday operations for all of Geneva’s sports.
“I’m really pleased to have Zack take on an even bigger role within the men’s basketball program,” said Head Coach Jeff Santarsiero. “He’s been such a dedicated and integral part of our program since he came on as a coach. His love for Geneva and for the program has made him such a key recruiter for us, with his ability to connect with so many recruits. This promotion is a testament to his hard work and the type of impact he will continue to have on the program as we strive to be one of the top teams in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference.”
Stitt will continue with his responsibilities with the women’s basketball program, and overseeing gameday operations within the athletic department, along with his increased role with the men’s basketball program.
