Sunday Late Night Dirt – 6/23/13

Catching up on a bunch of things tonight…here’s what I’ve got:

• Three separate sources have now told me that Rice assistant Adam Cohen is the leader to replace Yanni Hufnagel at Harvard. Cohen joined the Rice staff as an assistant this past season and was a staffer at USC before that. He would replace Hufnagel who dearted for Vanderbilt a few weeks ago.

• I have heard from a very good source that Hampden-Sydney assistant Mario Huffman will become the DBO at Longwood University. He joined the Hampden-Sydney staff this past December and had previously worked as a HS assistant in Virginia. The official announcement is expected this week.

• I can confirm that David Cooks has been hired as an assistant at Concordia University (WI). He had been the head coach at Marquette HS (WI) for the past eleven seasons before being released this spring. He left his Alma Mater with a record of 151-92 including a Wisconsin Division I State Final Four run in 2010.

• I can also confirm that Ryan Glenney will be hired as an assistant at Jacksonville College (TX). Glenney was an assistant at Western Texas for the past two seasons and also spent time at Dallas Baptist. The official announcement is expected on Monday.

• Staying in the great state of Texas…I have heard that Angelina College (TX) assistant John Dillard has departed for a HS job in Tennessee. He will be replaced by Curtis Nash who played for Angelina head coach Todd Neighbors when they were at Hill College (TX). Nash then went on to play UNC-Charlotte and also played professionally in France, England, Lithuania, and Germany.
