SUNY Adirondack names Sweet as new Head Men’s Basketball Coach

SUNY Adirondack Athletics has named Maxx Sweet as the new Head Men’s Basketball Coach.

Sweet started his college career at SUNY Adirondack, where he was a standout player and team captain. Following his time in Queensbury, Sweet continued his collegiate career outside of Philadelphia at Eastern University.  After graduation, he stayed on at Eastern as an assistant to begin his coaching career.  Sweet has amassed a wealth of coaching experience throughout his career and shown an ability to connect with students from all ages and backgrounds.  He has spent time as a high school coach in Las Vegas, NV, as well as assistant coaching positions at Centenary University and most recently at Hiram College in the competitive NCAA DIII North Coast Athletics Conference.  Sweet brings a passion to educate and help young men achieve their goals through basketball.

“We are excited to announce Maxx as our new men’s basketball coach.  His experiences coaching, ties to the region, and commitment to seeing his athletes succeed in the classroom and in life is what attracted us to him.  He is a tireless recruiter and understands the demands of being a student athlete at both the two and four-year levels of college athletics.  We look forward to watching the Timberwolves Men’s Basketball program develop and flourish under Coach Sweet’s guidance in the years ahead.”

Sweet graduated from Eastern University with a degree in Business Management.  He has a Masters in Athletic Administration from Northcentral University.
