SUNY Old Westbury adds assistant

The SUNY College at Old Westbury men’s basketball head coach Bernard Tomlin announced the addition of assistant coach Frank Chester to his 2013-14 staff.

Chester recently participated in the Gus Alfieri Coaching Course at the All American Basketball Camp in the summer 2013. Chester was also an assistant coach of three-time division champions Commack High School from 1991-98.

Chester enjoyed a successful 37 year career in the financial industry as a member and seat holder of the New York Stock Exchange.

A native of Commack, New York, Chester earned a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University in 1970, majoring in business administration with a minor in Political Science. Chester played his high school ball at Carle Place and is married to wife, Kathleen, who are proud parents of four children.
