HoopDirt.com can confirm that Tennessee Tech assistant coach Frank Davis has departed the staff and will land at East Tennessee State. The former TTU standout had been on the Golden Eagles staff for the past five seasons.

I have also heard that TTU head coach Steve Payne has hired Gerald Gillion as an assistant coach. Gillion had been an assistant at South Florida, and also served as the DBO at Florida International. He spent time this spring helping with recruiting at Florida A&M while they were searching for a new head coach.

Finally, I can confirm that Tennessee Tech manager Jonathan Ortiz has been hired as a graduate assistant at Southeast Missouri State.
