Will Chapman has joined the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi staff as the Scholastic Coordinator for Men’s Basketball. In his duties, Chapman oversees all academic aspects of men’s basketball program in conjunction with the Center for Athletic Academic Services.
Prior to his arrival at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, he spent a year as an assistant coach at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Okla. In 2013-14, he helped the Bulldogs to a second-place finish in the Great American Conference.
Chapman joined the Bulldogs after serving as a graduate assistant at Oklahoma Christian in 2012-13. He was involved with that program for five seasons, playing for the Eagles his first two years before joining the coaching staff. He served as a program assistant for two seasons before being elevated to a graduate assistant last season.
A native of San Antonio, Chapman earned his bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Oklahoma Christian in May 2012 before completing his master’s degree in Sports Administration from East Central in July 2013. Chapman resides in Corpus Christi.
