Texas A&M assistant basketball coach Isaac Chew has resigned. Chew was in his second season on the Aggies staff, and had previously worked at Virginia Tech and Murray state.
Chew released the following statement:
“While I will miss the incredible men in this program, stepping away from basketball is what is best for my family at this time. I have been so blessed to work at Texas A&M and to learn under Coach Kennedy and I am a better coach because of my time around him, my fellow assistants and the incredible student-athletes in our program. I want to thank Coach Kennedy for believing in me and I will be cheering hard for the Aggies in the days ahead.”
Texas A&M head coach Billy Kennedy also released a statement which read:
“Assistant Coach Isaac Chew submitted his resignation to me to focus on his family. It was a difficult decision for Isaac but it is what is best for Isaac and his family at this time. He will be missed by our coaches, staff and student-athletes and I want to thank Isaac for his service to the Aggies and wish him well as he moves forward”
