Not sure what’s going on at Texas Tech. A lot of people are saying that Billy Gillispie will be named head coach as early as today. I’m not sure I buy that one however. According to multiple sources, Tech president Guy Bailey has said that no offer has been made to any candidate and none will be made before incoming Texas Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt arrives on campus March 21st. This makes it very interesting for Gillispie and TTU – last week, it sounded like this was Gillispie’s job. Now that Oklahoma and Arkansas have opened, it gives Gillispie some time to talk to those schools as well. I will be interested to see if President Bailey changes his course and finds a way to nab BCG ASAP.
