Vermillion Community College has announced that Coach Dan Tharp has been named as the new Head Men’s Basketball Coach. 

Coach Tharp has a Masters of Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of South Dakota with emphasis in Sport Management and Secondary Education. His most recent coaching experience was at Dyersburg State Community College where the team finished as the Regular Season Champions and were finalist in the Region VII Tournament in 2022.

Coach Tharp previously coached several years at Mount Marty University in South Dakota at the NAIA level, as well as, has experience coaching/athletics at NCAA and NJCAA D1 colleges. Coach Tharp is excited to transition to Vermilion to build upon our current team roster.
