Well, it’s that time of year again when seasons end and jobs open. We saw the first high major job open a few weeks ago when Heath Schroyer was let go at Wyoming. This past weekend, there was a flurry of activity with Rod Barnes being fired at Georgia State, and Dave Calloway "resigning" at Monmouth. Also, Stetson head coach Derek Waugh announced his plans to step down at the end of the season last week. There are also some pretty good small college jobs that have opened up recently – mostly due to retirement. Assumption College, Virginia State, and St. Leo University are to pretty good DII spots that will garner a lot of interest. DIII Wabash College and Emerson College will be hot ones to watch as well. There will also be a ton of NAIA and NJCAA openings in the coming weeks. I will do my best to keep you updated on all of them as soon as they become official. This is only the beginning of what I think will be a pretty active year on the coaching carousel.
