It’s been fairly quiet over the past few days. Here are a few items that I’ve picked up…

It looks like Hartford is going to promote Director of Operations Jason Ivey to Assistant Coach. He spent 7 seasons at UMKC and is a 1996 graduate of Temple. The assistants spot opened when Elliott Broadnax departed.

Tim Sweeney is going to join Matt Matheny’s staff at Elon. Sweeney spent two seasons with Matheny at Davidson as an assistant. Look for Dave Paulsen to bump up Manager of Operations Aaron Kelly. Kelly was an assistant to Paulsen at DIII Williams College and also spent a year at Clarkson.

Texas Pan American has narrowed their coaching search to four candidates. The names have not been released yet. Interim Athletic Director Ricky Vaughn has contacted two of them so far. Hopefully the longest search of the year will wrap-up soon.

Tom Izzo is going to perform on Broadway! He and his wife Lupe are starring in the "mini" Broadway show Izzo Goes To Broadway, which chronicles Izzo’s rise to fame. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.
