Things are going south in a hurry for Gary Williams at Maryland. With Maryland faltering in the ACC (2-4 – with a 40 point loss to UNC), questions have begun to arise about the programs lack of ability to attract high major talent. Williams blames Kathy Worthington, Maryland’s senior associate athletic director for losing two recruits and has publicly questioned her credentials. This has become quite a messy situation in College Park. This looks like it be the 4th season in the last 5 years that the Terps don’t make the NCAA tournament. This coupled with the recent feuding leads me to believe that Coach Williams days are numbered at Maryland. The only question now is will he last the remainder of the season, or will Maryland officials choose to do what Alabama and Georgia did this week.
