Tulane head basketball coach Ed Conroy announced the addition of New Orleans native Quannas White to his coaching staff, it was released on Friday.

"We are extremely excited to have Quannas join our staff," Conroy said. "He has great ties to New Orleans and Louisiana as well as AAU and non-scholastic basketball across the country. He has proven his ability to develop players and assist young men in reaching their goals over the last decade. I was very pleased with the job out staff did last year and feel adding Quannas just continues to strengthen our ability to develop and mentor our student athletes."

White joined the Green Wave staff after spending the last eight years heading up the Louisiana Dynasty and serving as a private basketball trainer. White guided the Dynasty to over 30 tournament titles and developed several players that went on to play Division I college basketball.

White, a graduate of St. Augustine High School in New Orleans, played collegiately for the Midland Junior College and earned all-conference honors as a sophomore. He then spent his final two seasons of eligibility as the starting point guard at the University of Oklahoma.

During his two seasons in Norman, White helped lead the Sooners to the 2002 NCAA Final Four as the Big IX Newcomer of the Year after posting 7.6 points and 4.7 assisters per game. He then helped OU reach the 2003 NCAA Elite Eight with 8.6 points and 4.1 assists per outing.

White was a first-round selection of the Sioux Falls Sky Force of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) and had stints in the NBA D-League with both the Rio Grande Valley Vipers and the Austin Torros.
