Will Bartlett was named the Director of Men’s Basketball Operations at The University of Tulsa, it was announced today by Head Coach Frank Haith.
Bartlett brings to Tulsa over 15 years of experience with men’s basketball at the Division I level. He has spent the last two years at St. John’s University as the Director of Player Development, acting as the chief of staff for the head coach and providing day-to-day administrative support.
“I am excited to welcome Will to Tulsa and our staff,” said Haith, “He will make an immediate impact to our day-to-day operations within our program. Will has a strong work ethic and his passion for student athletes and the game of basketball will continue to push us forward.”
Bartlett will serve as the Hurricane liaison for athletic administrative areas, including off-the-court responsibilities, team travel and operations.
Before his time at St. John’s, Bartlett spent 8 years at the University of Arkansas, starting as the Coordinator of Basketball Operations in 2011. After two years with the Razorbacks, he was promoted to Video Coordinator, before spending his last season as the special assistant to the Head Coach.
During Bartlett’s time at Arkansas, the Razorbacks made five postseason appearances, including three trips to the NCAA Tournament. Bartlett helped guide Arkansas to the postseason five times in the last six years and turn in four efforts of 20-plus wins
Bartlett began his career in basketball operations serving as a student manager for four seasons at the University of Missouri. Upon graduating from Missouri with his Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in Psychology, Bartlett continued his time with the Tigers as a graduate assistant.
The Macomb, Ill. native is joined in Tulsa by his wife Ashton and daughter Olivia.
