UAB head coach Andy Kennedy has received a contract extension through 2028-29, according to a tweet posted by the school’s men’s basketball Twitter:

AL.com reports that the deal is worth $1 million per year and will increase by $100,000 each season for the length of the terms.

Kennedy has gone 78-25 in three seasons at his alma mater. His win total has increased every year from 22, to 27, to 29 in 2022-23. Kennedy led the Blazers to the NIT Championship game last season, and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2021-22 after capturing the C-USA Tournament title.
