With the season winding down, rumors are swirling surrounding the Maryland-Baltimore County job. Aki Thomas was named as the “acting” head coach for this season after former head coach Randy Monroe was fired two days before practice started. I have heard from three separate people in the Baltimore / Washington area over the last few days. They have all mentioned some of the same names as possibilities for the gig. They are:

• R.C. Kehoe – Head coach Holy Family University. A former UMBC and Delaware assistant. His team is currently 17-9.

• Brian Daly – Assistant Coach Penn State. Was also on Pat Chambers staff at Boston University. Was a very successful HS coach in the Philadelphia area before joining the college ranks.

• G.G. Smith – Assistant coach Loyola (MD). Has been at Loyola (MD) for the past six seasons. Was an assistant at Johns Hopkins (MD) before that and also spent time as a GA at Kentucky. Son of Minnesota HC Tubby Smith.

• Harris Adler – Assistant coach La Salle. Has been at La Salle for the past nine seasons. Also spent four years on the staff at Penn.
