The Peach Belt Conference and commissioner David R. Brunk have issued an official reprimand to UNC Pembroke head men’s basketball coach Ben Miller. The reprimand comes in response to unsportsmanlike conduct surrounding the Braves’ 57-55 loss to Georgia Regents University on Wednesday, Jan. 28, in Augusta, Ga. The reprimand does not carry any suspension, however any further unsportsmanlike conduct from coach Miller may result in more significant actions.
"We have a strict code of conduct in our league that is applicable to everyone: student-athletes, administrators and coaches, and coach Miller’s actions were in violation of its provisions." said commissioner Brunk. "We have set a standard in NCAA Division II and are proud to be looked upon as a league where everyone is accountable to that code."
The conference office will not be answering any further questions about the reprimand.
