Brian Dunne, who served as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Emerson College last season, has been named as an assistant men’s coach at Vassar College. The announcement came from Del Harris, head men’s basketball coach.
Prior to his experience at Emerson, Dunne was an assistant men’s basketball coach at Babson College in the 2010-11 season. At Emerson, Dunne was involved in all facets of the program, focusing on player development and recruiting.
In addition to his work at the college level, Dunne is the Program Director for the Bay State Flash AAU Basketball Club. Additionally, Dunne has worked for the Boston Celtics NBA Development League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws, where he assisted the Basketball Operations department.
Dunne is a 2010 graduate of Bates College where he earned three letters and was a member of the 2006-07 team that was ranked No. 12 in the Division III national polls. Dunne served as a student-assistant coach at Bates during the 2009-10 season.
