UPDATE: NYC DIII Dirt

A quick update to yesterday’s NYC DIII Dirt:

  • I have heard from a great source, and confirmed through another, that former Mercy College (NY) head coach Adam Parmenter will be named as an assistant at New York University.  Parmenter, who spent four seasons as the head coach of the Mavericks has also been an assistant at Daniel Webster College (NH), and Fordham Prep.  The official announcement is expected within the next week.

Yesterday’s NYC DIII Dirt:

  • Brooklyn College – Albert Barbosa has been added to Rich Micallef staff. Barbosa brings with him 22 years of coaching experience at La Salle Academy in NYC. When he as an assistant, he worked with Ron Artest, Eddie Elisma and God Shammagod. He also spent 2009-11 as the head coach at the school. The official announcement is expected shortly.
  • Hunter College – New head coach John Pelin has named Errol Daniyan as an assistant coach. Daniyan played collegiately at Plattsburg State where he scored over 1,300 points in his career. This is his first coaching job. Pelin will also hire a second assistant – look for that announcement in the next week or so.
