Following up on multiple reports here…

I can confirm that John Carroll and Kevin Sutton will be added to David Cox’ new staff at Rhode Island.

Carroll coached the Celtics at the end of the 2003-04 season and also served as the head coach at Duquesne. He had most recently been coaching AAU with the New England Playaz and Team NE.

Sutton was most recently an assistant at Pitt, and has also worked at Georgetown. George Washington, James Madison, and Old Dominion.

An official statement on both hires is expected shortly.
